What a weekend I’m having so far! Last night, I tried a new eatery (151 Bar & Grill), today I was out showing properties all afternoon and I ended the day with a sweet and sour “Mangonada” created by one of my best buddies, Steve Casas. I took my client and her sister to meet Steve and to have one of his newest creations. I had this for the first time last week, and I’ve been craving another one!

REAL ESTATE AND THE RASPA GUY? This guy CAN’T be serious!
It was 1999 when I first met Steve. I was his REALTOR® and helped him buy his first house. I had a hard time staying “professional” around him because he wouldn’t let me. During our home tours (and before GPS), he’d take over the directions and lead me to a Baskin-Robbins or to his favorite Raspa truck! CRAZY GUY!
Steve and his wife (at the time) had invited me to dinner once and I declined. I explained that I kept my personal and business life separate (at least until we closed). His response? THEN I DON’T WANT TO BUY A HOUSE! “D’OH!” Yup… I changed my tune real quick!
Today, Steve is a proud owner of his own Raspa Truck. He can have his raspa and ice cream whenever he wants. Now, that we’re long-time friends, I can have a raspa whenever I want, too! 🙂 Steve is a blessing to everyone he meets. He is certainly a blessing to me. He is happily married to his fabulous wife, Pat, and I can’t be happier for my friend.

One thing Steve taught me (without realizing it) is how to balance friendship, fun and business. He helped me realize it’s okay to have a little fun while I’m working. Now, thanks to Steve, when I meet new clients, I’ll take time to have lunch, dinner or drinks with them. I’m very proud to say that most of my clientele become friends and most of my friends become clientele. I love what I do and I love the friendships I build doing it!
“THANKS, STEVE! Love ya, man!”
~Val~If you EVER want to try Steve’s “Mango-nada” or any of his Raspas, call or text me. I’ll tell you where he’s going next.
STEVE DOES PARTIES! Starting at $50, Steve will drive his Raspa Truck to you and you’ll get 20 small Raspas. After the 20 free Raspas, your guests can either buy their own sweets or you can run a tab.
If you’d like more information or would like to contact Steve Casas, you can reach him at 210-209-3003. His business is, “Patsy’s Shaved Ice.”
